Align what you do to who you are
Rethink Your Life
A free workshop for anyone who built a life that looks right and doesn't feel right. Two hours, a big sheet of paper, and the questions nobody ever taught you to ask yourself.
2 to 4 hours · Do it alone, at home · Costs nothing
Let's be honest
Do these sound like YOU?
-
⊗
Your life works on paper and you still feel flat. Decent job, decent money, people who'd say you're doing well. You can't explain to anyone why that isn't enough, so you've stopped trying.
-
⊗
You know you want something to change, and you can't picture what. That's the part that keeps you stuck. Not the fear. The blank.
-
⊗
Your salary has quietly become the reason you can't leave. The life costs what it costs, so the job has to stay, so the life stays. You've done this math before.
-
⊗
You introduce yourself with your job title. And somewhere along the way that stopped feeling like a description and started feeling like the whole answer.
Introducing
The workshop
Everything I worked out the slow way, packed into one session. You write your life down by hand, on the biggest piece of paper you can find.
You answer around forty questions, in a specific order. Who you are outside of your job. What you were trained for and what you've quietly stopped wanting. What a normal week looks like now, and what it would look like if you got to pick it.
By the end the whole sheet is covered and you can see your life in one place, which is something most people have never actually done.
The last part is the one people remember. You draw lines between the life you have and the life you just described, and you find out how far apart they really are.
Before you start
Four things to GET
Set up properly and you'll finish it. Skip the paper and you won't, which is the whole reason this list exists.
-
01
The biggest sheet of paper you can find. A3 at minimum, flipchart or wrapping paper is better. You need to see all of it at once, so a notebook won't work.
-
02
Markers, and colored pencils or pens. More than one color. You'll be drawing links between things and the color does real work here.
-
03
Two to four hours, in one sitting. Phone in another room. Nobody has ever regretted taking the long version.
-
04
A table you can spread out on, somewhere nobody will interrupt you.
My process
How the session RUNS
-
First
You empty your head onto the page
Questions arrive one at a time, in an order that's been tested on a lot of people. You don't get the next one until you've answered the one in front of you.
-
Then
You sort what came out
Patterns show up on their own once everything is visible at the same time. This is the part that surprises people.
-
Last
You build the bridge
Your life today sits at one end of the sheet, the life you described sits at the other, and you draw what connects them. Most people finish this part quiet.
They did it
What people said AFTER
“It's really what they should teach us at school. What's important in my life? And it's a tool you can reuse every time.”
“Nat has a way of understanding what people really want, making them dream, and at the same time being extremely action-driven and grounded.”
“I found a job not long after, and it's very aligned with everything I'd written on the canvas months before.”
“I finally had a clear picture of who I am. What I love, what I want, what I can do, and which direction I could go.”
Who's running this
I'm Nathalie
I've spent 20 years making other people's stories look beautiful in print. Magazines for brands you've flown with and companies you've never heard of.
I built this workshop out of my own 20 years of trial and error, after people kept telling me I wasn't normal and I started wondering what normal even meant.
Now I ask people about their own stories. That's the whole job.
Whether this is FOR YOU
It works if
- Something feels off and you haven't said it out loud yet
- On paper your life is fine and you don't feel it
- You want change and can't picture what it looks like
- You'll actually do the writing
It doesn't if
- You're in the middle of a crisis and need real support
- You want someone to hand you the answer
- You want a bigger version of the same life
- You can't find three quiet hours this month
What comes after
The Bridge
Most people finish the workshop, look at the bridge they just drew, and ask the same question. Okay, but how do I actually walk across it?
That's the part I do with people one to one. It's called The Bridge. A small number of spots, starting in January.
You don't need to decide anything about that now. Do the workshop first. If the question comes up, I'll tell you how it works.
Last thing
Six questions, then it's YOURS
I read every answer myself. They tell me who's on the other side of this and they shape what I build next, so take a minute over them.
The prep list lands in your inbox straight away. The workshop itself follows the next morning, so you've got a day to go and find your paper.
